Hottest new tech in October revealed
Here’s a roundup of the hot new tech you can look forward to this month.
Google Home mini and Pixel 2
In a nutshell: Google’s latest launch brought us a tiny Google Assistant and a slimmed down Pixel 2 phone with some serious camera action.
Announced on Google’s anniversary of the original Pixel, the second-generation pulls out all the stops. As well as built in Google Assistant and a huge capability camera boasting 12.2 megapixels, Pixel 2 has a five-inch OLED display, all-day battery life and always-on display.
The Google Home mini might only be 4 inches wide, but this tiny smart speaker can connect to even more of your smart home devices. It can also send messages to the whole family’s devices, so you don’t have to yell ‘dinner’s ready!’ at the top of your lungs to call the kids down for tea.
