Logitech Artemis Spectrum G933 Wireless 7.1 Gaming Headset

Whether your platform of choice is a PS4, Xbox or PC, the Logitech G933 gaming headset offers top-notch performance with stunning 7.1 surround sound, so you’ll always get the drop on your rivals.

With the directional speakers in each ear cup, you’ll not only hear your enemy creeping up on you, you’ll know exactly which direction they’re coming from.

Let’s take a closer look...

Design and comfort

The first thing you notice is that these things are big — and they’re proud of it too! The ear cups are deep with super-soft ear pads and the light strip that goes around both cups makes it look like something straight out of a sci-fi space shooter.

The left cup has three big chunky programmable buttons with a simple easy-to-find dial that controls the volume, a 3.5mm headphone jack and a micro-USB charging port.

Comfortable for even the longest gaming sessions

There’s also a handy foldable microphone that tucks neatly away into the left ear cup when you’re not using it.

When you put the headphones on, you barely notice the headband thanks to the soft, deep padding, making them comfortable for even the longest gaming sessions. And the big, breathable ear pads mean the cups sit around your ears instead of on them, keeping your ears nice and cool.

Overall, they feel very sturdy without being too heavy, look futuristic without being over-the-top and thanks to all the padding, they’re super-comfy.

Sound quality

The Logitech G933 has been around for a couple of years now, but despite that, it’s still one of the best sounding headsets out there. With its Dolby DTX audio, you’ll hear everything from enemy footsteps to big explosions with crystal clarity, making you feel fully immersed in the game.

The audio is customisable too through the Logitech EQ settings, letting you adjust the settings to get the perfect sound for you.

When it comes to other players hearing you, the foldaway mic does a great job of picking up your voice. It delivers clear audio with no drop-outs, and for those occasions when you get a little over-excited, it won’t distort the sound at high volume.

Logitech G533 Wireless 7.1 Gaming Headset

The G533, despite being their entry-level wireless headset, boasts a range of high-end features – but does it live up to the Logitech name? We got hands-on to find out.

Design and comfort

While the G533 might sit at the less expensive end of the gaming headset range, they certainly don’t feel cheap.

The design is a bit more conservative than the G933 with its light strips and futuristic design, but you still get all the soft, breathable padding that comes with headsets from further up the range. They’re nice and light too, so they won’t start to press down on your head after long gaming stints.

Button layout couldn’t be easier, on the left ear-cup, you’ll find the power switch, volume dial, micro-USB charging port and a programmable ‘G’ button (which is set as a mute button by default).

The microphone also lives on the left ear-cup and can be neatly folded away when you’re not using it.

Sound quality

With its Dolby DTS audio and 7.1 virtual surround sound, it simulates your game environment beautifully. Spatial awareness is the key to gaining the advantage over your enemy and the G533 does a great job of keeping you aware of everything that’s going on around you.

The bass response is excellent with deep, powerful explosions and satisfying, super-realistic gunfire. The environmental sounds are crisp and clear too — your enemies will have a much tougher job sneaking up on you unnoticed.

The microphone does a great job of picking up your voice — and only your voice – thanks to noise-cancelling technology that cuts out background sounds. Logitech has included a ‘pop filter’ too, that helps keep random noises to a minimum.
