Here’s what we can look forward to from Sony.
Coming soon – Star Wars
Star Wars mania is sweeping the nation, with new movie Star Wars Episode VII – The Force Awakens hitting cinemas in December. There’s plenty for gamers to get excited about too, with a new Star Wars game launching in November.
We’ve known about Star Wars: Battlefront for ages. But now we’ve had an even better look at it.
The Battlefront trailer released by Sony in Paris looks amazing. Fill the boots of your favourite Star Wars characters, playing as icons such as Boba Fett, Han Solo and Princess Leia. Ramp up the nostalgia by taking control of an X-Wing Fighter or even the Millennium Falcon.
Got your mates round? Team up in hero units on multiplayer mode and battle on iconic planets like Endor, Tatooine and Hoth, as well as unexplored Sullust.
Call of Duty
You would have been hard pushed to avoid the hype surrounding the recent release of Black Ops III.
For those who haven’t had a chance to play yet, Sony had some gameplay footage on hand – with lots of new features to get us even more excited.
Enjoy fluid movement and greater control over your character with the enhanced controls. Or get competitive with three new ways to rank your characters on multiplayer mode.

Street Fighter goes next-gen
Nineties favourite Street Fighter V returns to PlayStation for the first time since 2008. This retro classic from Capcom gets a next-gen update – the result? What looks like an amazing gaming experience.
Ryu, Dhalsim and co are rendered in stunning detail. And the game will offer 6 mystery characters to unlock with special Street Fighter currency.

Gran Turismo – retro racing
While we’re on a retro theme, did car racing games get much better than Gran Turismo?
This late-90s to noughties classic started on the original PlayStation and is now getting a PlayStation 4-style makeover.
What should we expect? Enhanced graphics, better audio and what’s being talked up as the Gran Turismo series most realistic driving simulator to date.
One of the most talked-about games from the conference was Dreams – a new game designed to tap into your creativity. Make a customised imp and use it to explore different scenarios, called dreams, and communicate with the people and characters you meet.
Doors, manhole covers, clearings and wells all act as a gateway to a new dream – they open to new places each time you use them. Create your own dreams and explore other peoples’ by playing online.
