Sony Xperia Z4 Tablet
Sony's new 10" tablet is amazingly sleek, thin and light, especially considering the raw power contained within. With a beautifully crisp 2K screen, the image quality makes this tablet one you won't tire of looking at.
The Z4 Tablet runs Android 5 Lollipop, and very nicely it runs too. The technical specs are impressive, with a Snapdragon 810 processor, 3GB of RAM and 32GB storage space meaning this tablet is up to demanding tasks. The battery life is good too, with Sony claiming you should be able to watch around 17 hours of movies.
Sony are positioning the Z4 Tablet as a laptop rival, and it's not hard to see why. It certainly has the power and image quality, but it's when you connect the optional keyboard that things really get interesting. The tablet not only looks like a laptop, it changes the user interface so it resembles Windows with a taskbar at the bottom so you can switch between apps more easily.
This is a tablet with huge potential, and well worth a look.
Sony Xperia M4 Aqua
Smaller than the Z4, the Xperia M4 Aqua is a more pocket-sized 5". The smaller size is one of the M4's key features - it's the tablet you can take anywhere, as it's waterproof and dust resistant. This makes it perfect for the beach - a little sand or the odd puddle won't be a threat to the M4.
The size isn't the only thing that's reduced when you compare the M4 to the Z4. This tablet may not be as powerful, but it gets the job done for on-the-go tasks. With travel in mind, there's plenty of battery power here - claims that it can run for two days are impressive, but this will depend on how you use the tablet.
For portability and price, the M4 could be a great choice for many people.
