Google Chrome and Apple Safari managed to increase their market share in April, according to a report.
Microsoft Internet Explorer (IE) and Mozilla Firefox meanwhile recorded a decline in their browser market share.
Although IE still claims two and a half times the market share of Firefox, it fell to a new low of 55.11% in April. Firefox dropped to 21.63%, falling by almost two tenths of a percentage point overall.
Meanwhile the increasingly popular Chrome recorded a 65% rise in its market share since last June. The browser rose to 11.94% last month.
Apple’s Safari browser jumped to 7.15% in April, reflecting the success of the iPhone and iPad.
