When we saw the Blaze at CES, we were really excited by it. As the first smart sports watch from Fitbit, it packs all the same fitness tracking features as a band – but looks and functions like a smartwatch.

Unlike other Fitbits, it has an LCD touchscreen plus loads of smart features like call and text notifications and calendar syncing.
It’s also the most stylish Fitbit yet, with a removable watch strap that you can change for different occasions.
More than just a fitness tracker – use it to monitor your daily activity, track workouts in the gym or stay organised at the office. Here’s how you can use it as part of your daily routine.
Keep in shape
Like other Fitbits, the Blaze is great for keeping active or staying motivated with a new fitness regime. With it you can:
- Record your daily activity like steps, stairs climbed and distance covered
- Right through to how much rest you’re getting at night with the sleep tracker
- Use it to eat healthily. Log the calories you eat with the barcode scanner, calorie estimator and food database – which has been expanded with even more brands
Blaze is ideal for more intense activity like running, cycling or hitting the gym. The built-in heart rate monitor uses advanced PurePulse technology to give you continuous, automatic readings as you exercise. Set a target rate zone to make sure you’re getting the best out of your workouts, without pushing yourself too far.
Forgot to set it to log your activity? No problem. It can detect the type of exercise you’re doing based on your movements and record it for you.
Use the LCD touch screen to check your heart rate or performance at a glance while you’re working out – and get a summary after you’ve finished. Then use the Fitbit app to see a more detailed graph mapping your overall progress.
With the FitStar app pre-loaded, Blaze can double up as a personal trainer on your wrist. Get step-by-step instructions for different workouts on screen – choose from warm up and warm down, or create a 7 minute workout or 10 minute ab workout.

With the added Smart features, it’ll feel much more like you’re wearing a smartwatch than a fitness band. So not only will it help you keep in shape, Blaze can also help you to be more organised. With it you can:
- See call and text notifications on screen – without having to dig around for your smartphone in your bag
- Stay on top of your diary, sync it with your calendar to get reminders
- Simply swipe your notifications away when you’re done with them – out of sight, out of mind
Like to listen to music on your phone during the commute or while you’re working? With a tap of the touchscreen, you can hit play or pause, switch between songs and adjust the volume – all from your wrist.
And with up to five days of battery life, you can use it while you’re out and about without having to worry about recharging.
Whether you’re hitting the gym, at the office or going out for dinner, the great thing about Blaze is that it won’t look out of place.
The tracker pops out of its stainless steel casing – letting you swap the watch strap to suit different occasions. For even more customisation, choose from four different watch faces for the LCD screen.
It’s also a lot lighter and thinner than previous models so it’ll sit comfortably on your wrist.
