MWC 2015: Samsung unveil the S6 and S6 Edge
The stunning new mobile phone from Samsung has been revealed at MWC. Read on for more information.
Samsung's new flagship smartphone, the S6 will come in two different versions. In addition to the standard S6, the S6 Edge will feature a screen that curves from the front to the sides of the smartphone.
New ways to display information
This means the phone can communicate information with you in new ways - even when its face down on a table. For example, the screen space on the side can display a clock, tickertape news alerts or even photos of your contacts for fast access.
With quad HD resolution, the 5.1" screen on the S6 is extremely crisp, featuring more pixels than the S5 or iPhone 6 Plus. And if you've been put off by the plastic construction of previous Samsung smartphones, you'll be pleased to hear the S6 is completely housed in metal and glass.
Another nice touch is the ability to charge the S6 without a cable. Samsung have stated their dedication to wireless charging, and this is their first smartphone to have the feature built in. You'll be able to charge with any wireless charging station currently on the market.
While we're on the subject of keeping up with technological innovations, fans of virtual reality will be glad to learn that the S6 will have it's own version of the Gear VR headset Samsung have been developing in partnership with Facebook's Oculus Rift.
