Nintendo is hoping to attract players with the launch of a new version of the Wii video game console.
The Japanese gaming giant said its latest Wii U gaming system boasts a touchscreen controller and can support high-definition visuals.
The Wii U, which was showcased during the Electronic Entertainment Expo, is capable of detecting motion as well as broadcasting video.
The white 6.2in touchscreen controller is guaranteed to please players with its directional pad, microphone, dual analogue sticks, two speakers, pairs of shoulder buttons and a front-facing camera.
According to Nintendo, the Wii U can work in conjunction with current Wii controllers and will be available on the market between April and December next year.
